Asian men who don’t get laid fall into some of the categories above and then some. This is not meant to be a racist rant, but let’s be real; most white women aren’t into Asian men. Therefore, the Asian American guy who’s looking for that 7/8 white girl at the club/bar isn’t going to get lucky. If he was smart like me, he would tap into his own ethnicity and not be so lonely. After nearly 18 years of living in Thailand, thirteen of which have been spent happily married, I will say this about American women…it’s hit or miss. You can have a great run or you can have a dry spell but you need to put the work in and this can get tiring. Also, American women do not want timid men who are apprehensive about approaching them or who don’t have their shit together.

I have a buddy I’ve known for about 20 years. Since I’ve known him he’s had one girlfriend. She cheated on him. He’s a good dude, no dummy, and a good-looking guy. The best woman he found was for Latvia but distance made their relationship a problem and after not seeing her for six months, he met the girl who cheated on him. He gets laid, he has fun with women, in fact getting laid isn’t really the problem. The problem is meeting women he wants to stay with for the distance. They’re not easy to meet and one thing I will say is that some women seem to think being in a relationship is a piece of cake. At the first sign of trouble, they’re gone.

Before I left for Asia, I had a blonde-haired cutie for a girlfriend so I wasn’t hurting. We split because neither of us thought we were going to get married. I didn’t leave for the women, I left to get away for a year. The lifestyle here is more to my liking than in the U.S. I won’t completely bash “American women” but I do prefer foreign women and their different mentality and attitude.
