How I Live My Life in the Ukraine

About five years ago I lived in the Ukraine and these are some of the songs they were playing at the clubs or on Music TV.  Yes they still have videos on TV in Ukraine, not like MTV where there are none!

Восточные сказки – Блестящие и Arash

Vostochnie skazki  by Blestyashie & Arash

This translates to Eastern Fairytale (Oriental Tale).  The girl group’s name translates to Brilliant and Arash is a Swedish singer of Iranian descent.   I love this song and the words are great even in English (If anyone wants I’ll post the translation).  It very pop and the video is great, but I’m sure Russians and Ukrainian may  find it too pop.  The blond girl with the boobs and space between her teeth reminds me of my Ukrainian girlfriend at the time.

Show Me Your Love by Tina Karol – live from Eurovision 2006 Grand Final

This is the Ukrainian singer Tina Karol performing a Ukrainian sounding dance tune.  I danced many nights at 112 in the Arena  in Kiev when this song was playing.

Global Deejays – The Sound Of San Francisco

I remember this song from when I was living in Kharkiv.  I think I saw the video the first time one night we were out in a restaurant bar on a Friday night.  I heard it many times after that.  You just got love Euro-dance music!  The original song was by Scott McKenzie from the Summer of Love in 1967 and he performed it at the Monterey Pop Festival.

Stoned In Love – Chicane featuring Tom Jones

Tom Jones may not be getting too much play in the USA today, but he’s is still a chart topper in Europe with this great song Stoned In Love.  I first heard this song in a market blasting from a stereo system in a music store.  I thought, that voice sounds so much like Tom Jones!  I love the video too.

LML – Via Gra (Nu Virgos)

Another one of those Russian beautiful girl groups.  This song was originally  in Russian. The Russian version is almost identical and just as good.  L.M.L. stands for Live My Life.  The group was originally called Via Gra, but changed their name to Nu Virgos so as not to be associated with a dick hardening drug.  Changing their name did little to prevent dick hardening from looking at the girls in the band.  Other videos by the group have some even sexier looking girls!

This how I L.M.L – Live My Life in the Ukraine!

  1. I haven’t heard the Lithuanian version. Arash ft. Rebecca did “Temptation” which is basically the same song.

He later reworked it for Vostochnie skazki.

The girl in Blestyashie with the red hair is Anna Semenovich who was a famous Russian figure skater. She keeps getting larger and larger breasts since retiring from figure skating. She has a new video out with Arash. I’m not sure how well she can really sing but w/ breasts like that, it doesn’t matter too much.
